Java Runtime Edition (JRE) Requirement

Code Insight requires the Java Runtime Edition (JRE) and officially supports Amazon Corretto OpenJDK JRE 8U412-b08 and Oracle JRE 8u411 and below. Currently, Amazon Corretto OpenJDK JRE 8u412-b08 is installed and configured as part of the Code Insight installation; a separate download is not necessary.

If you are upgrading Code Insight and want to use another JRE version other than the one used by your previous Code Insight or if you want to switch to another JRE other than the Amazon Corretto OpenJDK JRE currently installed with Code Insight, you must perform additional steps during the upgrade or after the installation.
